Kevin Mileski: Listen/Look
Cafe Brioche
(Kevin Mileski)
Kevin Mileski
At the Cafe Brioche
we can dance the night away
And we don't care what all the strangers there might say
We're from out of town
And we're only passing through
We've only come for fun
To admire all the view.
In the night, this New England town
is so quiet till the ships come in.
And blow their horns to announce their arrival
Then they dock and they settle in
they're doing all they can,
they've done it all just right.
They'll be sleeping at home tonight.
They'll relax and take a load off
at the Cafe Brioche.
At the Cafe Brioche
we turn the lights down low
And we ask the band
to play something soft and slow
So we step outside
and watch the leaves falling through
And sit down at the table out there
and watch all the ships come through.
In the night, this New England town
is so quiet till the ships come in.
And blow their horns to announce their arrival
Then they dock and they settle in
they're doing all they can,
they've done it all just right.
They'll be sleeping at home tonight.
They'll relax and take a load off
at the Cafe Brioche.
